History

[edit]

Vitaliy Drozd, CEO and founder of bodo, formerly worked as a regional director for a company selling experiences in Ukraine. His innovative business development ideas, though not initially supported by management, ultimately led to the creation of a new service [2][3].

The first sale of experiences as gifts occurred on November 23, 2009.[4]. Sales of experience gifts were initially only available through the online store[5]. The first offline island appeared in the SkyMall shopping center in Kyiv in November 2013. By 2024, the company has opened 12 island stores, and the website boasts over 2000 experiences[6]
