The Basis of Blood Engine Lore
The game takes place in an experiment headed by Xal Biotech Industries. The experiment is essentially one that tests the human body's resistance against different levels of pain that are centered in combat, from pain inflicted via projectiles, blunt force trauma, explosives etc. The experiment is funded by not just other research teams but also by other militaries looking forward to test weapons, from firearms to rocket launchers, in order to gain more insight in said weapons as the experiment offers not only data on how the human body can withstand such pain but also offer an opportunity to test experimental or common military-grade weapons to be used in combat.
However, X.B.I. faced one glaring issue, they lacked subjects to carry on this experiment. With the help of the government, the X.B.I. would carry out an operation to lure individuals into the experiment. They would form the **[Insert Squad Name]** which would be split into two teams, one focused on luring everyday individuals into thinking they were invited into a game with a hefty prize, while the other focused on luring convicts with a history of violence and mentally ill war veterans. Once they were lured, they would be given firearms and be sent to an abandoned city known as Site Xal.
The reality came to a shock to the individuals, or what were now referred to as subjects. While most were shocked and horrified, some were thrilled, most of them being convicts and suspected war criminals. Subjects would beg to be let out, but to no avail. They were forced to kill each other as part of this experiment. While subjects fought each other tooth and nail, researchers, military officers and government officials would watch intently towards the chaos that was unfolding in the site. Although death was rampant on the site, subjects would be revived through the use of an engine called Blood Engine, an engine developed by the XBI to ensure that these subjects would be revived for the experiment to go on.
Throughout the time period of the experiment, the site would undergo several renovations and additions, with the recent one being the addition of a grassland and a bunker along with a new skyscraper. Many weapons would be delivered and experimented by subjects, a handful of them being the RPG, Minigun, BFG 50, and even a new kind of melee weapon known as the Crucible, although most of these weapons needed to be bought by the subjects, with the majority of them being unable to afford such weapons. Those who were able to afford them were able to kill more subjects easily and efficiently, fueling bloodlust.
Bloodlust was a common occurrence in the site to the point it had been an epidemic within the site. Those who had been consumed by bloodlust would often be seen with such high kill counts. These individuals would be feared by the common populace in the site. Individuals consumed by bloodlust would often have kill counts in the thousands, sometimes in the tens of thousands. These individuals would cement their names into notoriety among the subjects. Subjects would often have mixed opinions on these individuals. Some would see them as bloodthirsty savages and be described as hounds of the devil himself, while others would praise them, comparing them to the descendants of the god of war himself. Nonetheless, there is still a reason why these individuals would often have high kill counts, and that is their skill.
Depending on the skill, or essentially the kill count of the subject, they would be rewarded with different weapons. Subjects with 750+ kills would be rewarded with a HK-416A5 Mod, while subjects with 5500+ and 20000+ kills would be rewarded with a Golden M4A1 and a SIG MCX respectively. A recent addition had been done so that subjects with 10000+ kills would be rewarded with their own tactical armor, one made to withstand bullets. Of course, this tactical armor was experimental and was undergoing active testing by the military. These rewards would serve as a catalyst for a surging bloodlust within the site, with many subjects competing to get these weapons and trying to best one another in terms of kill count.
Competition was the general theme within the site, it was essentially the survival of the fittest. However, the fiercest competition would be observed from the top dogs, the most skilled players themselves. The mix of bloodlust and competition would result in subjects having absurd kill counts, with some having 10k, 20k, 30k, and sometimes over 50k. These individuals would cement their names into the experiment, a handful of these names being : FoolyCooly for his absurdly high kill count of over 70k, Hayden for their rapid growth of their kill count that had jumped from 3k to 25k in less than a week, Rubie for his unique techniques to disrespect his opponents, and Leuu for his cruel tactics to inflict pain into the enemy. Among these named, Leuu was the most notorious for his inhumane tactics to kill individuals.
Factions were formed within the site to ensure the safety of its members. The most notable of these factions being the Tactical Support Taran or TST, a faction aimed to unite the Site under one flag and one rule, and the Cult of NoodleLuckIsReal, however little information has been found on the cult as it still remains secretive to this day. Many factions would come and go and be erased and forgotten as a result of local conflicts spewing in the area, making TST as the dominant faction within the site. Despite having a powerful presence, and despite housing a number of skilled individuals with high kill counts, they still remained powerless compared to the Staff Team.
The Team, composed of individuals that have gained the trust of the X.B.I., would be equipped with weapons exclusive to these individuals only. Some of these weapons were developed by top arms industries from around the globe and were delivered here to be equipped by the team to moderate and administer the site, keeping it under control. Some of these weapons include an assault rifle described to fling subjects to the other side of the site, Molotov cocktails, and the most notorious of them all, the steel pipe. The most notable member of the team would be FoolyCooly, and Nimuxe, the man behind the evil personas of other notable individuals like Rubie, along with other names like Mausgrip, Tsonchev, and ddelusi.
Within the site brewed a different kind of lust, not for blood, but rather for sexual pleasure. Having been forced into violence for many weeks, subjects had no way to satisfy these sexual urges. The urges had built up for so long until one day, a subject would break and begin humping the corpse of a subject he had recently killed, serving as the catalyst for the sex epidemic within the site. This act would be forever known as "spamming the x key" among subjects. More and more subjects would fall victim in these acts, finding themselves as the victim or the perpetrator. Nobody was safe from the epidemic, all subjects would eventually fall victim to it within a few days time on the site. The sexual urges mixed with violence would result in rape and touching cases skyrocketing in the site. Oftentimes these acts would either be a form of disrespect, camaraderie, or just simply, in the words of a subject, "it's funni." Despite being a massive epidemic in the site, no real attempts have been made by the X.B.I. to stop these cases from happening again.
As of right now, the site remains as a constant battlefield among the subjects who are fueled by bloodlust, the need to best their opponents, and essentially lust. The experiment is still being actively run by the X.B.I. and the Military as proof of recent additions to the armory in the site. The lust for blood will never be satisfied as the Blood Engine continues to puppet its subjects.dont you dare del
