"Bit the Yogurt" is an expression originating in the United States of America, specifically Saint Louis, Missouri. The expression is used when a person enters into an endeavor with more enthusiasm than is required for the task and ultimately fails miserably.
Example: Dave got way too excited creating his Dungeons and Dragons character because his wizard died in the first 5 minutes of the campaign. "Dave really Bit the Yogurt".
