The BioInnovation Institute (BII) is a non-profit foundation established in 2020 in Copenhagen, Denmark with a grant from the Novo Nordisk Foundation[1]. It operates an international business incubator aimed at the acceleration of start-ups based on bio-based scientific discoveries[2], typically as university spin-outs[3], as well as on quantum engineering in collaboration with NATO[4]. BII administers the BII & Science Prize for Innovation in cooperation with the American Association for the Advancement of Science[5].

At the end of 2023, BII had invested 115 million € across 101 start-up projects, including accelerate world-class life science innovation[6].
