Avezzano Rugby ASD is an Italian rugby union team based in Avezzano, which competes in the Serie A1, the second division of the national league.
History
[edit]Founded in 1977 as a rugby section of the Unione Sportivi Avezzanesi sports club, the team reached Serie B for the first time in 1985, while Serie A was reached for the first time in 2006.[1] Plays in Serie A1 for the first time in 2024 achieving the maximum result in its history.[2]
Stadium
[edit]The team plays at the Stadio "Angelo Trombetta" in Avezzano (Abruzzo region) which has a capacity of 700 spectators. The grandstand of its Camp 2 has an additional 700 seats.[3]
