From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Atakpo Festival is an annual celebration observed by the Akwa Ibom people of South-South Nigeria, typically taking place in August and September.[1]This festival is primarily held in honor of the Uruan clan deity, as a ritual worship.[1] During the festival, masquerades dressed in their vibrant regalia accompany the celebrations, displaying merriment and rejoicing.[1]
