Arnold Hill (1912–1975) was a playwright and short story writer. He was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He wrote many radio plays which were broadcast on the British Broadcasting Corporation in the United Kingdom and in other countries in the 1950s and 1960s.[1] He was also a writer of short stories which were published in literary magazines and newspapers, as well as in several anthologies of Irish short stories[2][3][4]Three of his stage plays were produced: "On the Water's Edge" (London, Gateway Theatre, 1953); "The Pilgrim's Mother" (Dublin, The Abbey Theatre 1965) and "The Great Improvement" ( Dun Laoghaire, Gas Company Theatre, 1971).[5]
