Anwar Hadid was born on June 22,1999 raised in Los Angeles California.[1] His parents Mohamed Hadid and Yolanda Hadid have three children. He is the youngest of the three, his older sisters being Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid. He also has two half-sisters Marielle Hadid and Alana Hadid. Anwar is known for his modeling and music career, and being a voice for muslim palestinians.[2]

Personal Life

Anwar attended Malibu High School. In 2018 he briefly dated Kendall Jenner. Then in 2019 He dated Dua Lipa until late 2021.[3] Anwar also appeared in 8 episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, as his mother Yolanda Hadid was a part of the show.

Modeling career

In 2015, Anwar first appeared in Nylon Magazine.[4] Then Anwar signed with IMG Models in February 2016. He then was featured on the cover of TeenVogue alongside Cameron Dallas.[5] In April 2016 he was featured in Paper Magazine. Then the same year he did his first runway at the Moschino Resort Show.

In 2017 Anwar was announced as the face of Hugo Boss Menswear and in the same year was the face of the Zadig & Voltaire spring summer campaign with his sister Bella Hadid.[6]

His early 90s grunge look is what sets him apart from the rest of his family.

Music Career

When Anwar was 19 years old he released his first album titled "Bleach". The album consisted of 17 songs. It featured Jaden Smith. He later released a music video for one of the songs titled "Progression 101" which was filmed by Vin Arfuso and shot in Palestine.[7]

He now is a part of a band, Oswald. They have one album released, six singles/eps and featured on an album with SinceWhen and on another album with Black Man Lab.[7]

Anwar has launched a unisex jewelry brand called Martyre with rapper Yoni Laham. 50% of the profits from the brand will go towards charity benefitting children's education access and literacy.[8]

Role in Activism

The Hadid family is known for their support of Palestine and showing their muslim traditions as well. Anwar co-produced with Roger Waters and Kweku Mandela, a documentary titled "Walled Off" also with Vin Arfuso.[9] The film followed individual Palestinians highlighting their struggle for freedom.

Anwar also consistently talks about his political opinions through social media, specifically his instagram and the "stories" feature.[10]
