"Ya šabāba-l'arbi hayyā wanṭaliq yā mawkibī" (Arabic: يا شباب العرب هيا وانطلق يا موكبي; "Arab youth, raise and march to fight your enemies"), also known as "'Aša Ba'athu-l'arabi!" (Arabic: !عاش بعث العـرب; "Long live the Arab Ba'ath!"), is the anthem of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, composed by the Lebanese Elias Rahbani and written by the Syrian Sulaiman al-Isa.[1][2]
History
[edit]The lyrics were written by Sulaiman al-Isa. Elias Rahbani composed the music. The exact date of when the anthem was written and composed is unknown. The anthem carries the values of the socialist proletariat that the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party called for.[1]
