Angus Wing Hang Yip (Chinese: 葉榮鏗博士) is a Hong Kong-based ESG consultant, academic, and former corporate banker and asset manager with over 30 years of professional experience.[1] He is the Founding Chairman of the International Chamber of Sustainable Development (ICSD)[2] and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong's Institute for China Business and SPACE.[3] Yip is recognized for his work in sustainable development and ESG education.[4] He has also contributed to adult education with more than 25 years of part-time teaching in banking and finance at universities across Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China.[5]

Career

Corporate Banking and Asset Management

Yip has over three decades of experience in corporate banking and asset management, specializing in corporate lending, trade finance, and discretionary asset management for high-net-worth clients.[2]

Teaching and Academia

Yip is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Hong Kong University Institute for China Business, where he teaches in the Postgraduate Diploma in Integrated and Practicing Management program.[3] His teaching areas include corporate sustainability, ESG reporting, banking, and finance. He has been teaching Certified Financial Planning courses since 2000 at HKU SPACE.[5]

ESG and Sustainability Consulting

Since 2015, Yip has provided ESG reporting and consultancy services to listed companies in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.[18] His consultancy focuses on ESG reporting compliance and sustainable development strategies.

Contributions to ESG

International Chamber of Sustainable Development (ICSD)

In 2022, Yip founded the International Chamber of Sustainable Development (ICSD) to address ESG challenges faced by organizations.[1] Under his leadership, the ICSD launched an ESG certification program, which has been adopted by enterprises to enhance their sustainability practices.[19]

World Green Organisation (WGO)

Since 2018, Yip has served as an ESG Advisor to the World Green Organisation, promoting sustainable practices and climate awareness.[20]
