Angeline Academy of Innovation (AAI), also known as Angeline, is a seven-year, 6-12 STEM school in Land O' Lakes, Florida. The school is apart of the Pasco County School district.[1] Angeline Academy of Innovation shares the building with Pasco eSchool.

Angeline is not like most schools in Pasco County, as Angeline requires a "School Choice Application", meaning you must apply to get accepted to the school. Angeline operates an 8-period schedule, with the school day separating into an A-B Block schedule, with 4 per day, rotating every day. The school day is from 8:10 am to 2:30 pm.[2] The max-capacity of Angeline is 1,694

History

[edit]

Construction of the building starting in 2022, by Ajax Building LLC and PBK Architects, and was designed by Harvard Jolly Architecture.[3][4] Construction finished in 2023 and the school held its first classes in August of 2023.[3]The school opened with 830 students, and grades 6-10, with 11th the following year.[5] The schools name Angeline, came from the neighborhood it was built in.[6]

Originally, the school did not plan on having athletics, like the other STEM schools in Pasco County, until Superintendent Kurt Browning decided to create an athletics facility for Angeline. It was not until November of 2024 that the Angeline Athletic Complex had its opening game, in which the Angeline boy's soccer team won 7-0 against Zephyrhills Highschool[7]

Recognitions
