From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anders Fernette, formerly known as Anders Johansson until 2009, is a Swedish singer born on February 21, 1978. He gained fame and won in the reality show Fame Factory in the spring of 2003. Fernette grew up in Floda in Lerum Municipality, but now lives in Gothenburg. Since 2012, he has been the singer of the band Renegade Five.

History

[edit]

Before participating in Fame Factory, he released singles like Två Nakna Själar (Two Naked Souls) and Oslagbar (Unbeatable) under the name Anders J. His debut album, If It's All I Ever Do[1], sold gold, and his debut single Without You became a big hit.

In the spring of 2007, Anders Fernette released the single Alone on his own label. Around the same time, he had a daughter and took a break from his career to be on parental leave. In the spring of 2008, he signed with Held Management and released the single Ready To Fly on Kabuki Records. Both of these songs became big hits on the radio, and for the sixth year in a row, Fernette toured with the Rix FM Festival throughout the summer of 2008. During the winter of 2008/2009, he changed his name to Fernette, and the first single under the new name was Hungry Eyes, which sold gold.

In October 2009, the single Tell Me Why (So Incredible) was released, and in April 2010, Lola was released to the radio. On July 21, 2010, Anders Fernette had his second child, a boy.

In 2010, Fernette was selected to participate in Melodifestivalen 2011 with the song Don't Stop by JC Chasez, Kristian Lundin, and Carl Falk, but since it had been published on the Internet before the competition, the entry was disqualified and replaced with the song Run written by Desmond Child, Negin Djafari, Hugo Lira, Ian-Paolo Lira, and Thomas G:son. The song competed in the semi-final in Malmö on February 26, but placed eighth and last. The album Run was released on March 9[2].
Fernette also participated in the Melodifestivalen team in the thirteenth season of Fångarna På Fortet (Fort Boyard).

On December 20, 2012, Fernette announced on his Facebook[3] page that he had joined the band Renegade Five as the lead singer and frontman. On the same date, a video for the song "Erase Me," featuring Anders Fernette, was released on the band's Facebook page.[4]
