Amo Saddam is an upcoming film directed by Johan Renck. It is an adaptation of the book The Prisoner in His Palace: Saddam Hussein, His American Guards, and What History Leaves Unsaid by Will Bardenwerper. It is set to star Barry Keoghan.

Premise

American soldiers guard former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein in a palace-turned-prison as he awaits trial for his crimes against humanity.[1]

The project was announced in February 2024 as an adaptation of the book The Prisoner in His Palace: Saddam Hussein, His American Guards, and What History Leaves Unsaid by Will Bardenwerper. The film is produced by Michael Parets and directed by Johan Renck with Barry Keoghan set in the cast. Principal photography is scheduled to commence in Autumn 2024.[2]

Filming locations are set to include New York.[3]
