Season chronology | |
The second season of All American aired on The CW between October 7, 2019 and March 9, 2020. A total of 16 episodes were produced.
The series continues to follow Spencer James, a football player from South Crenshaw High School as he is recruited to play at Beverly Hills High School by it's head football coach Billy Baker. The storylines for the second season include Spencer, now a football State Champion, being forced to make a tough decision, which is either stay in Beverly Hills and continue playing for Billy, or move back to South LA, and play for his father Corey James, who is the new head coach for the South Crenshaw Chargers; Tamia "Coop" Cooper trying to take control of her life, and begin pursuing her dream of becoming a rapper; and Layla Keating battling mental health issues including depression and self-harm.

[edit]On April 24, 2019, it was reported that The CW renewed the series for a second season,[17] which premiered on October 7, 2019.[18] On October 8, 2019, The CW ordered three more episodes for the show's second season.[19]
