Early life and education
[edit]Ali Adamu was born in 1969 in Gombe, Gombe State. [5] He started his primary education at the Hassan Central Primary School, Gombe in 1976 before proceeding to Government Comprehensive Day Secondary School, Gombe in 1982 and completed his secondary education in 1987.[5]
He got into Federal University of Technology, Yola, in 1987, where he obtained a Bsc in Statistics in 199 and in 1997 he acquired the Teachers Training Certificate at the FCE (T), Gombe.[5]
Career
[edit]Ali Adamu started his academic career in 1997 when he joined the FCE (T), Gombe.[5] Adamu has served in various capacities in the institution, as Chief Lecturer and the Deputy Provost of the College. He was later mthe headthe mof Mathematics department, subsequently Dof the ean School of Science Education and Dof the ean School of Undergradates Studies.[5]
He was appointed as the acting provost in 2018 later he confirmed as the provost of FCE Gombe.[6][7] He was reappointed by the Muhammad Buhari-led administration for a second tenure on May 25, 2022 through the Minister of Education, Mala Adamu Adamu.[6] In June 2022, he was appointed as a member of the special committee of the Alabura S Kudi Model School management team to maintain standards.[8]
