Alexander Mirza is a Canadian American entrepreneur, investor, and author. Mirza is the founder and CEO of Mogul Hotels & Residences, and is the co-founder of Cachet Hotels & Resorts.[1][2]
Early life and education
[edit]Mirza was born in New Delhi, India. Mirza graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1997.[3][4][5] Mirza also has an M.A. in International Relations and a BA from Queen's University in Kingston, Canada.[6][7]
Career
[edit]After graduating from Harvard, he joined Deloitte, working as a Senior Consultant.[8] Transitioning from consultancy, he joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts in April 2002, as the Vice President and Head of Strategic Planning. In 2004, he joined Accenture where he became a Partner in the Consumer Practice.[9]
Mirza joined Hilton Hotels & Resorts in 2005 and served as Senior Vice President of Operations. Subsequently he joined Ticketmaster as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development.[10][11][12][13][14][15]
Mirza joined Caesars Entertainment in 2009 as Chief of Staff and was later promoted to Senior Vice President and Head of Hospitality.[16][17][18][19] He founded Cachet Hotels & Resorts in 2012.[20][21] From 2013 to 2018, he remained the President and CEO of Cachet Hotels & Resorts.[1][22][23][24][25][26][27]
In January 2019, he founded Mogul Hotels & Residences and became its CEO.[28][29][30][31][32]
He is a board member of Cornell's Center for Innovative Hospitality and serves as a Strategic Advisor and Advisory Board member of Kiwitech.[33][34][35] He is the author of three books, Talent Disruption: People are the brands,[36][37][4][38] Reimagining Global Hospitality: Envisaging the AI Hotel of the future[39][40],and Peacekeeping, Peacemaking, & World Order: A Study of the International System.[41][42]
