Alex Gao 高紫旗
[edit]Alexandra Ziqi Gao (born 26 June 2002), known professionally as Alex Gao 高紫旗 is a Chinese-Canadian singer-songwriter.
As an Asian-American Woman and Artist, it is of her utmost importance to continue pushing boundaries and bridging where East meets West; she continues to grow whilst experimenting in her personal musical mix of Pop, Soul, R&B, Music Theatre, World Music and Genre-Bending.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Alexandra Ziqi Gao was born on 26 June 2002 in Toronto, Canada.
Gao attended the Etobicoke School of the Arts and majored in Music Theatre in her four years of highschool.
In 2020, Gao was accepted into Berklee College of Music on a World Tour Scholarship, where she now majors in Performance.

2024: Berklee Spring Awards Recipient
[edit]In April of 2024, Alex Gao was awarded the Sylvia M. Zunz Scholarship at the Berklee College of Music Spring Awards.
2024: First Official Boston Lunar New Year Festival Gala
[edit]In February 2024, Alex Gao was invited as a Guest Artist to the first official Boston Lunar New Year Festival Gala[2] held at the Boston City Hall; marking a milestone for the Asian Community in Boston, Massachusetts.
2023: Berklee Pinocchio the Musical: Lead Villain Role
[edit]In December 2023, Alex Gao was cast as the Coachman in Berklee's Theatre for Young Audiences Production: Pinocchio the Musical; under the direction of Professor Rene Pfister [3].
2023: Asian Music Industry Festival - House of Blues
[edit]In November of 2023, Alex Gao was invited as a Guest Artist to perform at the Asian Music Industry Festival [4] in the venue of House of Blues - Boston. She shared the stage with Chinese Singer Shan Yichun 单依纯[5]
2023: From Me to You to Me: Self-Produced Show
[edit]In November of 2023, Alex Gao debuted her first self-produced show From Me to You to Me [6] at the Berklee College of Music, Gao collaborated and managed 30+ individuals and performed with a full-house crowd.
2023: 中国好声音 Sing!China USA Region: First Runner-Up Boston Region: Grand Champion
[edit]In June 2023, Alex Gao was awarded the First Runner-Up award at 中国好声音 [7] USA Region as well as Best Female Vocalist Award; Boston Region: Grand Champion at the age of 20.
2022: Boston GCCx Brandeis, NEU, BC and Berklee: Grand Champion
[edit]In December 2022, Alex Gao won the GCCx[8] Brandeis, Northeastern University, Boston College, Berklee College of Music and was awarded Grand Champion at the age of 20.
2020: Berklee College of Music Acceptance
[edit]In January 2020, Alex Gao was accepted into the Berklee College of Music on a World Tour Scholarship and now majors in Performance.
2018:湖南卫视 MangoTV Music Program
[edit]In June 2018, Alex Gao was casted as a Singer/Performer for reality music program on 湖南卫视 MangoTV.
2017: CCTV 青少年才艺大赛: Grand Champion
[edit]In August 2017, Alex Gao won the CCTV 青少年才艺大赛 [9] and was awarded Grand Champion at the age of 15.
