Aleksandar Sasha Trajkovski (born March 28, 1985) is a Macedonian poet, physician, translator. He is a full-time member of the Macedonian Scientific Society – Bitola and Macedonian Translators and Interpreters Association. Trajkovski is recognized as the first Macedonian poet to receive the First Prize for Poetry from the World Poetry Association.[1][2][3]
Early life and education
[edit]Trajkovski was born on March 28, 1985, in Bitola, North Macedonia. He completed his primary education at Goce Delchev Primary School and secondary education at Josip Broz Tito High School in Bitola, graduating in 2004. Trajkovski pursued higher education at the European University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" in Bucharest, Romania, where he received his medical degree in 2011. His education followed the Bologna Process framework, integrating undergraduate and master’s level studies in medicine.[1][4][5]
In addition, he holds certifications in English and Romanian languages.
Career

[edit]Trajkovski began his medical career at the General Hospital "Dr. Trifun Panovski" in Bitola in 2016. He later focused on oncology and radiotherapy in Skopje and received further training in Bucharest in the treatment of cancer patients, directing on post-chemotherapy and palliative care. He has participated in different medical conferences and symposia, contributing papers on topics such as microcellular lung carcinoma and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on global healthcare. In 2021, Trajkovski became a full-time member of the Macedonian Scientific Society and he has been a member member of the Medical Chamber since 2012.[6][7][8]
Literary
[edit]He has written seven poetry books, including collections for children and adults. His poetry primarily explores themes of culture, identity, and human emotion. His works include Haiku Poetry: Balkan Harakiri, which has been recognized in North Macedonia and internationally. His writings have been translated into different languages, including English, German, and Romanian. Trajkovski is also a literary translator, translating contemporary Macedonian authors into Romanian and collaborating with organizations such as the Struga Poetry Evenings. In addition, he is a full-time member of the Macedonian Translators and Interpreters Associations.[3][5][9]
