The Al Essawi, Al Esawi, Al Eisawi, Al Isawi (Arabic: العيسوي) is an Arab family with an established presence in North Africa and the Levant. As a branch of the clan known as Banu Hashim, the Al Essawis are regarded as being part of Islamic nobility.
History
[edit]In the 18th century, Essawi Al Belbeisi's descendants started using his name as their last name for undisclosed reasons in Medina. Al Essawi's are now well-established throughout the Middle East, particularly in Jordan.
