Al Amin Sarkar; born 07 July 1972) is a politician and businessman from Bangladesh who belongs to Awami League party. He is a current incumbent Union Council Chairman of Sonargaon. He is also serving as the President of the ruling party Bangladesh Awami League at union level.

Early life and family Al Amin was born on 07 July 1972 to a Bengali Muslim political family in Narayanganj. His father was a Union President of Sonargaon. His elder brother Kalam is the Senior Vice President of Union Awami League. His son `Sami Sarkar is studying abroad in US. Sami Sarkar played a major role for his 2021 Union Council Election which results Al Amin Sarkar won the election that year in a long margin of votes.

Career Al Amin was elected as Union Council Chairman at the [[May 2016 Bangladesh Union Council Election| in May 2016 from Sonargaon, Narayanganj.>

For the [[2016 Bangladeshi union council election|], the party high command of Awami League picked Al Amin to contest for Sonargaon, dropping the incumbent Mahbub Sarkar. He was elected unopposed after the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party boycotted the election.

Al Amin was re-elected from Sonargaon in the 2021 Bangladeshi union council election as a candidate of the ruling party of Bangladesh Awami League. His son Sami Sarkar had threatened Sonargaon police officer ASP Mohammad Bashir for not allowing Awami League party workers to stuff ballots in his election.>
