Ajjinikanda Mahesh Nachaiah is the founder editor and publisher of a Kodava thakk newspaper called Poomale.[1] He is the current (2024) Chairman of the Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy.[2][3] He had requested the Chief Minister of Karnataka to name a new Bengaluru metro station, either the Challaghatta station or an upcoming one near Kamaraj Road, after Field Marshal K M Cariappa.[4]
