Adhirshtasaali is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language fantasy drama film[1] directed by Mithran R. Jawahar and written by B. Jeyamohan.[2] The film stars R. Madhavan and Sharmiela Mandre in the lead roles,[3] alongside an ensemble cast comprising of Radhika Sarathkumar, Madonna Sebastian, Sai Dhanshika, Jagan, Niroop NK, Upasana RC, Mathew Varghese, Uday Mahesh, K. S. G. Venkatesh, Ravi Prakash, and others in supporting roles.[4]
The film is produced by Sharmila, Reka Vikki, and Manoj Mulki under AA Media Corporation and the technical crew comprises Yuvan Shankar Raja as the music composer, Karthik Muthukumar as the cinematographer, M. Thiyagarajan as the editor.[1]

Production

[edit]After the success of Thiruchitrambalam (2022), director Mithran R. Jawahar was reported to join hands with R. Madhavan in their next project,[5][6] marking their first collaboration and backed by Media One Global Entertainment banner.[7][8] In late February 2023, it was announced that writer B. Jeyamohan will be handling the dialogues and screenplay,[9] while Jeyamohan revealed that the light-hearted and humorous story is developed from an original snippet written by the lead actor Madhavan himself.[10] The film also features Kannada actress Sharmiela Mandre as the female lead, alongside an ensemble cast comprising of Radhika Sarathkumar,[11] Madonna Sebastian, Sai Dhanshika, Jagan, Niroop NK, Upasana RC,[12] Mathew Varghese, Uday Mahesh, K. S. G. Venkatesh, Ravi Prakash, and others in supporting roles.[13]

Filming
[edit]Principal photography began in Scotland on the last week of November 2023[14] in places like Forth Bridge, Edinburgh, Dean Village, and Victoria Street.[4] R. Madhavan completed his portions on 17 January 2024.[15] During the first-look release, it was reported that the film is in post-production stage.[16]
Music
[edit]The soundtrack and background is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja making his second collaboration with Mithran R. Jawahar after Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008) and his fourth collaboration with R. Madhavan after Aethirree (2004), Vaazhthugal (2008) and Vettai (2012).[16]
