- Abidur Rahman Ranju** was a prominent figure in the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) in Tangail. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, he served as the Secretary of the Tangail City unit of the JCD. Ranju was known for his active involvement in student politics and his role in mobilizing support for the BNP in Tangail.
