Any sentences or phrased put in parenthesis and italicized are later thoughts and ideas that I had after reflection of the initial writing stage.
--(So I never actually figured out to make the visible mark or warning that there was a relation I have to the author of the book. It would clear up a lot of suspicion which could also fix the issue of "being to promotional" as the reason of this article's rejection. Still could fix somethings.)
A Pony Met the World Today is a children's book written by Vivian Laughman and published on the 16th of August 2024. Beginning writing in January of 2023 and then the publication process in August of the same year, the book would then be published one year later. It is currently available to be purchased at Barnes & Nobles and Amazon.--(My coworker recently published this book and I had thought it would be a great idea to write about it as no one else would of by this point. This came with its own set of difficulties as you can guess since I have a relation to her.)
Overview
[edit]"Join along with a little pony as she opens her eyes for the very first time and experiences her first day in the world! She drinks her mother's milk, learns to walk, meets a new friend, lies down to go to sleep and get ready for another day and more adventures to come."[1]
The book only being a mere twenty pages, captivates the story of a little pony who is just born on a farm. It details her experiences of her first day in her life, these including, nursing, trotting around, and meeting a person. --(It was a super cute story for kids and I genuinely would recommend it for younger children. ((haha I guess I am really being too promotional)))
Development
[edit]"Vivian Laughman has always loved to read, write and be around ponies! She is a graduate of Centenary College with a degree in equine studies, a manager of a pony breeding farm, and a loving wife and mother! When not at the farm working with young ponies, she enjoys spending her time with her husband, daughter, and their two pugs, Piper and Pixi."[1] --(This was taken from the Barnes & Nobles website bio talking about Vivian. There was not much more to add here unless I took her own wording which I technically could of but to site that would be annoying so I did not end up doing that.) Laughman had worked with horses her entire life and had built a reputation in the equestrian community. In 2015, she had shifted from being a riding instructor full time, to working in a barn as a caretaker. She continues to do so and in early 2022, became a mother. She often read books to her daughter which gave her the inspiration for wanting to write her own. The visualization she had used to depict the ponies in her book came from two real ponies at the barn she works in. --(This entire part here is what makes me believe that the article was rejected. It seems way too promotional as that was the main reason it was rejected. Obviously I need more sites as well but that is kind of difficult as there is not much more I can site unless, again, I take words from Vivian herself. I think for reference I could change the wording but I would need to be very picky with how I choose to edit it.)
--(The photo of her book that was used is no longer on the page since I did not correctly site the location of it. Again, this is a whole new process for me and I am still learning how to properly write and publish articles. I also put notations that are visible to editors of the article that explained my relation to Mrs. Laughman. I do not have much more to commentate on this as it is a very straightforward article and does not require much more explanation.)
