A Heart on the Line[1] is a Nigerian web series produced and directed by Abimbola Craig, created and written by Bunmi Ajakaiye[2]. The series, powered by First Bank of Nigeria Ltd., explores contemporary issues of love, relationships, and personal growth, blending heartfelt drama with moments of levity.
Synopsis
[edit]Yomi Balogun (Ayoola Ayolola), is a property developer on the rise who just entered into a joint venture to acquire lands on prime property and build luxury housing for a huge profit. He is on his sixth acquisition and has been brought in to close the seventh and possibly most difficult property, much to the annoyance of the other developers in the firm who had failed at the project. Ella Etim (Mimi Chaka), a passionate obstetrician who spends her free time running a charity clinic for under privileged women out of her home has had to fight off greedy developers who want to acquire the property to create a high rise. Committed to her work and her charity alone, she doesn’t see Yomi Balogun coming, he sweeps her off her feet and awakens feelings she thought were long forgotten.

Production
[edit]Set and shot in the city of Lagos, the series is produced by Abimbola Craig, a notable filmmaker renowned for her work in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Bunmi Ajakaiye, the creative force behind the storyline, is celebrated for her ability to craft narratives that resonate with a wide audience.
The series airs every Friday on BluuTV, a YouTube channel powered by First Bank of Nigeria Ltd.[3], the production emphasizes storytelling that inspires and connects with everyday Nigerians. The series also highlights the importance of financial empowerment in achieving personal and collective goals. BluuTV was officially launched[4] on the 13th of December, 2024.
