The company was founded in 1994 in Munich, Germany. It currently spans over 71 offices in 67 countries, with memberships in over 100 associations and over 900 employees worldwide. AVIAREPS is a valuable brand due to its market dominance, variety range of innovative products, and strong financial track record. It is majority-owned by Gaebler Investment & Consulting GmbH (54.44%) followed by multiple private investors and one investment firm.

The AVIAREPS service portfolio includes extensive expertise in representation and sales, marketing and communications, business development, IT solutions and financial services. In addition to their General Sales Agent (GSA) services and tourism marketing representation, AVIAREPS provides more than 250 clients with support in digital marketing, advertising, public relations, crisis communications, social media management, event coordination, sales, web design and more.

The AVIAREPS Management Board consists of the Chief Executive Officer Edgar Lacker, Chief Financial Officer Ralf Kuttruff, Chief Operating Officer Aviation Marcelo Kaiser and Chief Operating Officer Tourism Thomas Drechsler. Edgar Lacker was appointed CEO of AVIAREPS in 2016, replacing Michael Gaebler, who then became the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AVIAREPS.[1]

AVIAREPS is a member of the UNWTO, the World Tourism Organization.[2]

History

AVIAREPS Airline Management GmbH was founded in Germany in 1994.[4] In 1998, the AVIAREPS Airline Management GmbH transitioned into a joint stock company, named AVIAREPS AG.

The expansion to the global company AVIAREPS began in 1996 when AVIAREPS opened offices in Europe and later expanded into Russia, the United States, Asia, Australia and India, Africa, Latin America and South East Asia. AVIAREPS office network today spans over 6 continents (Europe, Asia, South America, North America, Africa and Australia) with a total of 71 owned offices.

Shareholder Structure

AVIAREPS’ share capital reflects a nominal registered capital of 1,071,604 Euros. Thereof 1,043,440 are common shares and 28,164 are non-par preference shares without voting right. All shares are held by private people, with the exception of 25.24 percent owned by an investment company.
