The 4 × 100 m Universal Relay is the only current relay in para-athletics. It made its debut at 2018 World Para Athletics European Championships. It is a mixed gender relay containing two males and two females[1] with USA winning the first Universal relay at a Paralympic Games at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan.[2]
The first leg must be an athlete with classification of T11/T12/T13*, leg two must be a classification of T45/T46/T47*/T62/T63/T64, leg three must be T35/T36/T37T38*, the anchor leg must be T33/T34/T51/T52/T53/T54* (* is indication a “high class” as you are only allowed two “high class” athletes per relay team).
