Draft:2025 OFC Women's Nations Cup
Submission declined on 22 December 2024 by Tesleemah (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of events). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. The event does not meet GNG as of now, the two references added are not enough to proof the notability too. Kindly incubate and resubmit later

The 2025 OFC Women's Nations Cup will be the 13th edition of the OFC Women's Nations Cup (also known as the OFC Women's Championship), the quadrennial international football championship organised by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) for the women's national teams of the Oceanian region. The tournament will be held in Fiji as with the previous edition. It will be held between 4-19 July 2025.[1]
Papua New Guinea are the defending champions.
Format
[edit]The format will follow:
- Final tournament: A total of eleven teams will play in the final tournament, which will be held in July 2025 in Fiji. For the group stage, they will be divided into two groups of four teams and one group of three teams. The top two teams of each group as well as the two best third-placed teams will advance to the knockout stage (quarter-finals, semi-finals and final) to decide the winner of the OFC Women's Nations Cup, however the winner will no longer qualify for the FIFA Women's World Cup with OFC instead opting to organise a separate qualifiers tournament.[2]
The draw for the tournament will be held sometime in 2022. In both the qualifying stage and final tournament, the hosts and two other teams will be assigned to position A1 in the draw, while the remaining teams will be drawn into the other positions without any seeding.
