Draft:Ístex
Submission declined on 14 May 2024 by Shadow311 (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

Ístex hf, known as the Icelandic Textile Industry, is dedicated to maximizing the value of Icelandic wool through its wool processing operations.
Operating a wool washing facility in Blönduós and a spinning and tying factory in Mosfellsbær, Ístex has been a stalwart in wool processing since 1896, originally under the moniker Álafoss. In 1991, Ístex hf assumed control of the enterprise, with farmers holding ownership of over 80%.
Procuring wool directly from farmers, Ístex ensures that approximately 99% of all Icelandic wool undergoes their meticulous washing and treatment processes. Mindful of their ecological footprint, their washed wool from Blönduós is certified in accordance with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®.
Specializing in hand-knitted ribbons fashioned from Icelandic wool, including Álafosslopa, Einbandi, Jöklalopa, Léttlopa, and Plötulopa, Ístex also publishes a range of hand knitting books featuring diverse designs. Additionally, they produce woolen blankets and have recently embarked on crafting quilts from Icelandic wool.
