Diz Glithero

Lisa (Diz) Glithero is a Canadian Professor who advocates for youth involvement in the natural world.[1]

Career

She is the winner of the "Alex Trebek Medal for Geographic Literacy," awarded by The Royal Canadian Geographical Society.[1] This medal is awarded to individuals who contribute significantly to geographic literacy.[2]

Glithero is the national coordinator of the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition.[2] Additionally, in 2018 she received both the Outstanding Educator of the Year award from the Canadian Network for Environmental Education & Communication and the Ocean Education Organization Award from Ocean Wise.[3]
