2024 Delhi Premier League T20 |
Delhi Premier League T20 is a Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament in union territories of Delhi in India.[2] Organised by the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), it was first contested during the 2024 season.[3]
The league is contested by six teams representing different zones in union territories of Delhi.[4][5][6][7][8]
Almost all matches take place as back-to-back double-headers at the same venue on the same day. One ticket gives access to both the men's and women's games.
History
[edit]A total of 33 matches took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Virender Sehwag has been the brand ambassador of the tournament. Adani Group was the title sponsor.[9] The inaugural edition of the tournament had a draft of 270 players.
Tournament structure
[edit]Six city-based teams will compete during the school summer holidays.There will be 30 matches in the league stage of the tournament, with the top four teams qualifying for the semi-final stage. The winners of both the semi-final matches will be the finalists.
