"Deceiver, Deceiver" is a song recorded by Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy. It was released worldwide as a single on 21 October 2021 via digital download and streaming.
Background
[edit]"Deceiver, Deceiver" was the first single to be released from the band's then-unannounced eleventh studio album Deceivers, and was the first new song from the band in over four years, since 2017's Will to Power. The track was initially released as a standalone single, and it was later revealed that "Deceiver, Deceiver" would be the second track of the new Arch Enemy album. The music video for the song premiered on 21 October 2021, a few hours after the song was released worldwide.[1] Sonically, the track is fast-paced and aggressive, containing some punk-inspired riffs. The song has been described as 'fierce'[2], and has been performed at the beginning of Arch Enemy's live shows at all shows since its release.
