Cruelty (Icelandic: Grimmd) is a 2016 Icelandic film written and directed by Anton Sigurðsson.[1][2][3][4][5]

In Cruelty, two young sisters from Reykjavík are found murdered, and the two best police detectives try to solve the case.[6]

In 2017, Cruelty was nominated for awards at the Filmfest Hamburg[7] and Santa Barbara International Film Festival.[8] Margrét Vilhjálmsdóttir was nominated for Actress of the Year at the Edda Awards.[9]

In 2023, director Anton was found guilty of embezzling ticket sales from the film.[10]
