Craspedocephalus wiroti, also known commonly as Wirot's pit viper, is a species of venomous pitviper in the family Viperidae. The species is native to Southeast Asia.
Etymology
[edit]The specific name, wiroti, is in honor of Thai herpetologist Wirot Nutaphand (1932–2005).[3]
Geographic range
[edit]C. wiroti is found in Peninsular Malaysia and Thailand.[1][2]
Habitat
[edit]The preferred natural habitat of C. wiroti is forest, at altitudes from sea level to 1,200 m (3,900 ft).[1]
