Conus cardinalis, common name the cardinal cone, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Conidae, the cone snails and their allies.[2]
Like all species within the genus Conus, these snails are predatory and venomous. They are capable of "stinging" humans, therefore live ones should be handled carefully or not at all.
Distribution
[edit]This species occurs in the Caribbean Sea (Guadeloupe) and in the Gulf of Mexico.
Description
[edit]The maximum recorded shell length is 32.2 mm.[3]
Habitat
[edit]Minimum recorded depth is 0 m.[3] Maximum recorded depth is 21 m.[3]
