Commelina fasciculata

Comellina fasciculata is an herbaceous tropical plant native to Peru and belonging to the family Commelinaceae. It was described by Ruiz and Pavon in 1798.^[1] It is particularly interesting because of its very high chromosome number (2n= 180),^[2] one of the highest numbers among the Monocots.^[3]
