Clear Creek (Crooked Creek tributary)
Appearance
Clear Creek is a stream in Monroe and Shelby counties in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] It is a tributary of Crooked Creek.
The stream headwaters are in southern Shelby County west of Shelbina at 39°42′28″N 92°05′25″W / 39.70778°N 92.09028°W and the confluence with Crooked Creek is just upstream from the Mark Twain Lake in northern Monroe County at 39°35′21″N 91°57′23″W / 39.58917°N 91.95639°W.[1][2]
Clear Creek was so named on account of the clarity of the water it contains.[3]
