Clark Barnes (born September 3, 2000) is a Canadian professional football wide receiver for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played U Sports football at Guelph.
Early life
[edit]Barnes first played high school football at Clarkson Secondary School in Mississauga.[1]
University career
[edit]Barnes played U Sports football at Guelph from 2019 to 2022.[2][3][4][5] The 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[6][3]
Professional career
[edit]Barnes was selected by the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in the third round, with the 24th overall pick, of the 2023 CFL Draft.[7][1][8] He signed with the team on May 5, 2023.[9] He played in nine games, all starts, in 2023, catching 25 passes for 234 yards and one touchdown before being placed on injured reserve on August 15, 2023.[9][10] Barnes also returned 18 kickoffs for 379 yards and two missed field goals for 111 yards.[11]
