Chinlunthang
Chinlunthang Manlun (born 1975)[1] is an Indian politician from Manipur. He is an MLA from Singhat Assembly constituency, which is reserved for Scheduled Tribes community, in Churachandpur District. He won the 2022 Manipur Legislative Assembly election, representing the Kuki People's Alliance.[2][3]
Early life and education
[edit]Chinlunthang is from Hiangtam village, Singhat, Churachandpur District, Manipur. He is the son of late Thangkhanlal. He completed his L. L. B. In 2004 at Manipur University.[1]
Career
[edit]Chinlunthang won from Singhat Assembly constituency representing the Kuki People's Alliance in the 2022 Manipur Legislative Assembly election. He polled 12,098 votes and defeated his nearest rival, Ginshuanhau Zhao of the Bharatiya Janata Party, by a margin of 1,919 votes.[4][5] In the 2017 Manipur Legislative Assembly election he contested on the Bharatiya Janata Party ticket and lost to Ginsuanhau Zou of the Indian National Congress by a margin of 1,162 votes.
