Zeal Chigozie Atuanya// (born 13 September 1980) is a Nigerian actor, producer and entrepreneur.[1][2] He is also the CEO of Skybridimpex roof and Uncle Lala’sTV.[3]
Early Life
[edit]Atuanya was born in Aba, Abia State, but hails from Agu-Ukwu Nri in Anambra State, into the family of Dominic Nonyelum Atuanya. His father, who was popularly known as Nnabuenyi, died after a brief illness on 5 February 2015.[4]
Education
[edit]Atuanya finished his primary and secondary school education in Aba, Abia State, where he got his SSCE and WAEC certificates, respectively. [5]He then earned a B.Sc. in Public Administration from Enugu State University of Science and Technology.[6]
Career
[edit]Atuanya made his screen debut in a 1998 film titled King Jaja of Opobo and has since gone on to produce and star in several films.[6] He was once a model for Delta Soap, appearing in one of their television commercials.[7]
Personal Life
[edit]Atuanya is married to Jennifer Obianuju Oranika, a law graduate from Igbinedion University, Edo State. The couple's traditional marriage took place on 31 March 2013, followed by a white wedding on 3 August 2013.[8] They welcomed their first child, a baby girl name Kaima, on 6 September 2014.[9]
Awards and Achievements
[edit]In 2014, Atuanya received the Best Indigenous Film award at the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards (GIAMA) held in Houston on October 25. In recognition of his work on the Igbo-language film Chetanna[10]
