Cherry Island is an island in the Detroit River, in southeast Michigan.[2][3][4] It is in Wayne County.[5][6][7] Its coordinates are 42°04′50″N 83°11′41″W / 42.08056°N 83.19472°W[1]; the United States Geological Survey gave its elevation as 574 ft (175 m) in 1980.[1] In 1876, it sold for $500 ($14,306 in 2024 dollars).[8]
