Chawinda is a village in Shahkot in Jalandhar district of Punjab State, India. It is located 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from sub district headquarter and 31 kilometres (19 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village.
Demography
[edit]As of 2011[update], The village has a total number of 32 houses and the population of 145 of which 73 are males while 72 are females.[1] According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 79 people are from Schedule Caste and the village does not have any Schedule Tribe population so far.[1]
