The Central District of Tabas County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان طبس) is in South Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Tabas.[3]
History
[edit]Tabas County became a part of Yazd province in 2001,[4] transferring to South Khorasan province in 2013.[5]
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 43,188 in 11,296 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 48,569 people in 13,755 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 52,528 inhabitants in 15,940 households.[2]
