Overlap with List of WWII Brazilian Destroyers

[edit]

This page contains a number of ships, of the same class as those in Category:World War II destroyers of Brazil. I know its like a small thing but the cannon class destroyer escort would in fact not be a destroyer. Now not being a Brazilian nor an individual with easy access to the records of the Brazilian navy(I'm lazy) I don't know what it was called in service, and I don't doubt it could be considered a destroyer, but it really shouldn't be listed as a destroyer when ships of the same class are also in the category for frigates. Example of this being the cannon class DE. Also ships like the USS McAnn/Bauru, a Cannon Class DE transferred to Brazil, which appears in both categories. In the modern day a frigate and destroyer might be similar, but in the 1940s they are still fairly distinct. If you actually took the time to read my nonsense I appreciate that, I'm tired and don't know what I'm doin. Mlayap (talk) 03:30, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
