Plural of "Fish"

[edit]

The plural of the word "Fish" (noun for aquatic animals with gills) is "Fish". Please make the changes to all articles concerning fish. The term "Fishes", although valid, refers to the activity and verbial usage of "Fish" (as in: "Watch as he fishes for compliments.")

When referring to the animal taxonomy, only mobsters say "fishes".

That's not true. See fish or fishes. --Epipelagic (talk) 15:59, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it is true. Look at WP:NOR for the reason you can't site one's own work on Wikipedia as source. 134.240.241.240 (talk) 20:26, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
So stop with your revisions, Epipelagic (talk). The answer is FISH not FISHES. You have not listed an outside link, and are therefore relying on "Original Research". 134.240.241.240 (talk) 20:28, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Google for yourself "fish vs fishes". You get a bunch of stuff like this. --RacerX11 Talk to meStalk me 04:50, 20 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
