National level focus not part of state

This category (Category:United States counties templates) is a national-level grouping by state, whereas "Category:United States county navigational boxes" is a state-level grouping, currently expanding with thousands of individual county (or parish) templates of 43 states, pertaining to parts of those states.

This category (Category:United States counties templates) pertains only to whole-state templates of the United States. Such whole-state templates would be lost in the other category which contains thousands of individual county or parish templates. -Wikid77 (talk) 22:26, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's all well and good but we already have a very similar named category at Category:United States county templates. And this cat here is not categorized, so it's an orphan, which we really don't want. Orphan cats defeat the purpose of categorization.
