Should the category "Toxins" be a subcategory of "Toxicants"? Several sources (e.g., here and here) indicate that a toxicant is man-made, whereas a toxin is a naturally produced substance. It seems that logically "Toxins" shouldn't be a a subcategory of "Toxicants," but it would be nice to have a biologist/chemist confirm this. Thanks. Lostraven (talk) 15:29, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There appears to be disagreement in the literature on the differences between toxicants and toxins. The two I included above seem to indicate they are separately viewed, but this source makes a claim that all toxins are toxicants. Going to weigh in on the Toxicant page.
