Serena
[edit]I don't dare to touch the Template:Serena Williams and change her background colors/style/whatever because of my personal experience with editing GOT templates created by other people. No offense. Nothing personal, indeed. I don't want to waste my time discussing templates.
For the "simple folk" tennis players you can apply the obvious — for me — color scheme: GS champions of both genders are listed by their dominant surface (if equals, then non-hard is applied because hard is more common and we a kind of need diversity that will make the world a better place...lol).
- Players with more grass-court GS titles: as Template:Martina Navratilova (when AO was mostly on grass);
- Players with more clay-court GS titles: as Template:Yevgeny Kafelnikov (In a case when there's equality in hard-court & clay-court GS titles, doubles GS titles are taken into account);
- Players with more hard-court GS titles: as Template:Petr Korda.
For other players who are considered a threat for GS but haven't won one so far:
- ATP players without Masters-1000 SINGLES title: as Template:Aslan Karatsev;
- WTA players without WTA-1000 SINGLES title: as Template:Jennifer Brady.
- ATP players with Masters-1000 SINGLES title and/or ATP Finals title: as Template:Stefanos Tsitsipas;
- WTA players with WTA-1000 SINGLES title and/or WTA Finals title: as Template:Camila Giorgi.
The whole point of this activity for me is a further translation of templates and draws to Russian Wikipedia. But as long as Russian is involved, people really seem to bother about me "hacking" smth. Don't worry. I have zero intentions to and "spoil" your beloved tennis portal Wikipedia. Tintin-tintine (talk) 09:13, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
- Trying to signify anything by color alone is against Wikipedia Guidelines. Maybe not the Russian version, but the English version we try and take care of those with vision problems. Background colors should be uniform, not based on subjective best surface. If you come in here with a chip on your shoulder you'll certainly leave with the same. To be honest I had no idea where you come from, and I don't care where you come from. All I noticed is that you were wikipedia retired and were making some templates changes against guidelines.
