In mathematical analysis, summability theory includes summability methods.

However, summability theory need not contain topics in e.g. formal power-series as studied e.g. in commutative algebra. Thus, summability theory is a proper subcategory of the category of mathematical series. Thanks, Kiefer.Wolfowitz (talk) 18:13, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
