Category talk:Stub-Class Computer networking articles of Low-importance
I can't help wondering why "Low-importance" is both hyphenated (being, AFAICT, a noun, not an adjective) and capitalized (not being a proper noun)—making it look, to the right type of reader, such as I, as though it were being used ironically. I have no problem with irony—including its occasional appearance in even the driest technical settings, such as this one. I'm even capable of commenting on it (or more accurately, its possibility). However, a full exploration of my tolerance for unconventional literary styles is clearly beyond the scope of this comment—and besides, it's not the sort of thing one should go bandying about a place like WP, where a great number of people are focused exclusively on precision, authenticity and efficiency—not irony, and certainly not la-de-da attitudes toward eccentric capitalization, punctuation, or any of the other various -ations whose stewardship falls into the hands of our apparently dwindling numbers, and upon which depends WP's reputation as a behemoth of patient, proofread elucidation. That brings us back to the purpose of my comment, which has clearly run its course. (You knew we'd get back here eventually, didn't you?) Thus I shall end the comment now, adverbially speaking. Why this is here
[edit]I thought I was merely creating a Talk page entry, asking a question about this category. But there was something about "creating a new Wikipedia page". If what I've done is judged gratuitous, please be advised I meant it not as an act of vandalism (I'd sooner vandalize my own home!), but as one of technical thickness—adopting the appropriately kindly but inwardly eye-rolling attitude—and do whatever you think necessary to restore this particular spot's proper Wikipedianism. Thanks. – AndyFielding (talk) 16:35, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
